Dollism
Dollism has barely any images (or none at all). (You) WILL help by adding them. |
Dollism is what the followers of DOLL (referred to as Dollists or "Little Buddies") say is the fusion of Sootist and Kuzist philosophies into a harmonious pairing united under the pink flag of DOLL. This is put into question by sootist hardliners. Focusing mainly on site stability and preservation of soy culture through actions taken against hostile off-site groups, Dollists often agree with Sootist thought that /soy/ should be IAS only, but also agreeing with Kuzists that some major changes must be made to the site so it may continue to grow and preserve its identity. Dollists tend to be relatively progressive in thought, and often spoke highly of the many site changes that DOLL made during his short tenure.
At different times, DOLL has said he prefers Kuz over Soot, yet many claim that his revisions to the site which remove KolymaNET influence shows he is "the second coming" or actually is Soot. Dollists share warm relationships with both schools of thought and posses a quiet optimism about the party and DOLL's plan to fix the site and establish a Little Buddy Caliphate that will extend past the soyosphere and consume 4chan whole even doe that would require massively increasing imports of that tasty blue juice found under sinks
Dollism is centrist, in-between conservative sootist beliefs and progressive kuzist beliefs.
Confirmed followers of Dollism: Janny, the current mod team including Root, members of /caca/, Ruben Sims, Captain Cob, various offsite groups mainly congregating on 4chan, and the Soyumvirate.
Criticism[edit | edit source]
Skeptics of dollism claim that Doll added infamous tranny Red to the mod team and this is fucking coal since trannies will never be real women and Red was also a really unpopular mod due to xer banning anything xe didn't like à la lolkek, and also being a pedophile soylita poster.
Battle Tactics[edit | edit source]
Dollists are among the smallest "ism" minorities on the party, ranging from 10-15%[1] of all users who participate in The Great Game. Due to low numbers, you would expect them to clearly lose to any other faction, and science has proven the "little buddy" effect is real and causes age regression and reduced strength/size upon users inflicted with the LBP (Little Buddy Pathogen). The virus can be viewed as parasitic and drives each infected host to defend "Big Buddy" with all of his willpower anytime "He" is threatened, similar to hornets and ants defending the nest. Unlike the aforementioned insects however, "Big Buddy" used to be quite capable of defending himself and the nest alone. The virus converts the lost energy taken during the conversion process and gives half of it to "Big Buddy", which directly increases his size, musculature, and ferocity, turning him into a one man army that violently tears and destroys off-site and on-site threats at the cost to him directly tied to the size of his wallet. Sootists may have the tenacity, and Kuzists may have the firepower, but if the "Big Buddy" claims you as a new "Little Buddy", the infection will spread within a matter of hours and start spreading to others via word-of-mouth within days, effectively converting entire swathes of the board population without bloodshed.
Dark Dollism[edit | edit source]
Dark Dollism is the belief that Doll ought to return as admin. It is a relatively extreme form of Dollism which denies all the claims and theories posited by the bigoted Kiwifarmers.[2] Dark Dollists are not afraid to discuss the possibilities of an endless Doll term (evidenced by a 404 banner I'm too lazy to upload right now), which has yet to be realized. They believe that Doll's shortened term and lack of a successor to his will is because of off-site influence and trolls from other sites that have been brainwashed by these other sites' faggots. Dark Dollists take an aggressive stance against Kiwifarms.
Dollism has been said to be dead since the departure of Doll. Dollists may take this opportunity to embrace Rootism, which is more similar than not to Dollism, or to abandon their ways entirely and try and emulate Soot or Kuz. Some even go further and attempt to embrace both Kuz and Soot, though that was proven to be difficult.
Dollism has been said to be less powerful than Kuzism, and the belief that Kuz had less influence than Doll is considered to be false. This is not to say that Kuzism is bad, nor does it mean Dollism is the "dominant" force. On /soy/ itself, Kuz and Soot are two very equal sides, while off-site there is a much larger Kuzist majority than Sootist, with the exception of 4chan.
Dollism, as described by Doll[edit | edit source]
- A site works best when it is lightly administrated and run by the people who use the site the most.
- Quality users with a large time investment should be made janitors, but you should try to keep staff levels low overall.
- Prohibited content should be dealt with harshly. Appeals should be made easy for infrequent offenders. Disruptive users should be ejected first by the users, then by the staff if a majority of users agree.
- A community thrives on its freedom of expression and a positive attitude towards itself. Meta drama and poor janny decision-making kills communities and should be mitigated against at all costs.
- Friendly but competitive relationships can turn splinters into bunkers, which is good as there are outside groups attempting to disrupt the community. Admins should keep themselves out of reach of the users and only appear rarely.
- Moderators should be nameless and unseen.
- You should make events small and mysterious to encourage users to engage in them on their own accord.
- Admin powers should only be shared by people proven to be capable of using it responsibly.
- You should strive to be a benevolent tyrant, hearing people out, addressing concerns directly, trying to find the BEST solution (not just an easy and convenient one).
- Above all, pace yourself and manage your time well and shit usually works itself out without your intervention.
