Namefags are darker than coal...

Namefag is a term used to refer to users of imageboards such as 4chan and the 'party who have decided to ignore the default anonymity of the site by giving themselves a name or another distinguishing characteristic. Users who post images of the same fictional character (it could be from anything a videogame, anime, movie, show, book, etc) regardless of content are known as Avatarfags, while users who have unique tripcodes are known as Tripfags.

Namefaggotry and tripfaggotry is enabled by most imageboards, but the feature is widely disliked by the users because of how rife it is among trannies and attention whores, and because it's not permitted by the fucking oldchad culture. As a mechanic, posters can start a name/trip by entering one into the appropriate field in the reply form. Unlike pretty much every site with registration, Namefags on imageboards are easy to impersonate since anyone can just put their name in the post field and it'll appear the same. Therefore, namefags should be disregarded because they suck cocks and are trans btw if that matters.

Most of the people who edit this very 'ki are nameGODS, as they are gigachads who are sensible enough to not reveal their IP.

On the sharty, the name field was removed, rendering namefagging in the traditional sense impossible. However, on some splinters, namefagging and its cousin tripfagging can still be achieved, either through traditional methods, by putting stuff in the subject field, or using the fucking email field nobody cares about. Plus, if namefagging on an imageboard doesn’t give you enough attention, there are plenty of other places you can namefag on anyways.

Tripfags[edit | edit source]

Tripfags are a subset of namefags who use unique password-hashed tripcodes so as to prevent impersonation by everyone without the password. Unless they're dumb fucks and have only a single ! in their tripcode, in which case anyone with a tripcode cracking engine can impersonate them given enough time and processing power.

Vanity Tripfags[edit | edit source]

Despite being devised as a secure cryptographic signature, some based retards use custom tripcode generators such as Meriken's Tripcode Engine[1][2] to fish for a custom trip that spells their name or whatever sequence of characters they're willing to spend enough computational power on. Cool I guess?

Avatarfags[edit | edit source]

Avatarfags are posters who use specific images to break anonymity similarly to namefags, whether it be a character from a movie, television, book etc. or just a random image. Despite there being a no avatarfagging rule on both 4cuck and the 'party, we still have a few of them[who?]. They are often given nicknames which get them confused for namefags, but many namefags are avatarfags too though.

While most avatarfags are unfunny Trannies, in rare cases some of them are actually funny and give birth to new memes and creativity, but the majority of them are just annoying spergs who have to be special by wasting bandwidth, scrollwheel durability, and threads' usable image limit.

/sp/ tripfag UTV (!MjaFqpDkME) was advised to change his name and flee the country[3] after a mentally-ill gigachad stalker posted a massive diary and fanfic-infodump about him. Indeed, he stopped posting immediately after[4] and has never been heard from since.[5] Attaching a unique identifier to your every post is like publicly datamining yourself and is a good way to get stalked by schizos, but maybe that's the goal. Indeed, some tripfags seem to wish that they would be stalked.[6][7]

  • Circus_2 - /qa/ Nametranny obsessed with TADC and avatarfags as Jax. Known as KingerWarlock on the 'ki.
  • Gapelee - A nulee and unfunny faggot who pretends to hate Gapejak because he thinks it's funny. He responds to posts including gapejak with "Kys gapejak spammer". Exposed as a pedophile on April 19, 2024 after some creepy keyed 'teen posted about having access to a girl's USB in his art class and asked in a thread what to do with it, and attached a Gapejak holding a heart. The retard posted her face with the caption "This is her, don't be a pedo", he deleted the file moments later because people did not comply. Gapelee immediately replied with "Least perverted gapejak" but the retard forgot that IDs were on and seconds later, failed to samefag and replied "post it again". He spent the next several hours on damage control mode in the thread, telling people to dox OP. Eventually, with no peer reviewed sources, he claimed he was actually 17 and therefore couldn't be a pedo to much suspicion.
  • Gold/Goot - Second president of /dem/ after CordsonTROONS. Has a tendency to fall for every piece of bait ever and have massive leakage over /bp/ baiters. Accused of being the owner of the Affy due to the shared name.
  • MarioMan7890 - Disgraced (former?) cordfaggot, actual brony and soulless drone who occasionally makes unfunny comments but is most of the time seen namefagging on coal threads in /qa/ (the awful sharty board). Was faildoxed before, looks like Amerimutt IRL. In terms of music, he primarily listens to Industrial Metal🗝️ and Nu Metal🗝️, and posts about it. Uses the same name everywhere, except on schlog, to distance himself from the screenshot of him asking to ERP with a minor.[8]
  • (Miscellaneous FNAC Developers) - The people who are making the horror genre-defining “Five Nights at Cobson’s” video game frequently engage with ‘teens and answer questions on the /fnac/ board.
  • mikobowl - a namefag who showed up sometime in early 2024 to make threads about bing bing wahoo mario, blogpost, and spam his shitty tranime slop on /soy/. Being one of the rare faces of the party, he frequently makes blog videos of him half naked in reply to random threads, (and sometimes his own threads). In early August of 2024 when the voice chatting feature got added he "doxed" himself in an attempt to get free pizza sent to his house in CA or something i don't remember the address. He also got into a feud with pingas man and one of his henchmen, Scratch and Grounder, which was one of the reasons for his popularity.
  • Slvt4BIBISI - Insufferable faggot whose "bait" can be identified by heavy uses of emoticons such as ":) :3 :/". His bait usually includes spamming Boykisser, Mauzymice, furry coals, and probably MLP/FPE. He is also active on the sharty’s /qa/, NEVER interact with any of his posts. As of 8/4/24 it appears xe got a 2 week ban from the sharty and has taken refuge on the 'ru, the shemmy, and other soysphere sites. On 8/6/24 he would be freed by Ronnald during his "event".
  • The Bulgarian - a Bulgarian namefag-orbiting soyjak artist who hates F̶r̶i̶d̶a̶y̶ ̶N̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶F̶u̶n̶k̶i̶n̶ Skibidi Toilet and responds "kys fnf pedo nigger" to every fnf post. Was banned but evades by phoneposting.

  • Italian_Chad - namefag countrywarrior, one of the main combatants of the Italo-Argentine War and the Italo-Mexican War, makes jaks out of your country if you insult Italy and hates satoko_houjou.
  • satoko_houjou_fan - Consitently trolls for hours at a time in almost every single post comment section, also a very well known countrywarrior and main combatant of the Italo-Argentine/Italo-Mexican Countrywar. It got cracked down on by jannies several times, which eventually culminated in a ban from the (Main) namespace. Made a few alts that received similar treatment. Anyways, he probably left the wiki. Surviving articles can be found here and here. Their ban was later updated to a sitewide ban after it was determined that there was no reason for them to be banned from just the (Main) namespace (which is just 99% of the wiki anyway). Based on the templates they "made", it is speculated that they may have been a BonziPEDIA immigrant.[a]
  • Warlock - Joels wiki account using his second alias, was banned from the soysphere on November 22, 2024 after it was revealed that he was a 'corder.

He solved the Riemann hypothesis meaning he is owed $1 million USD by the Clay Mathematics Institute. However, he was unable to get his paper peer-reviewed.
  • Eunice Tremble!!ZKj2GJmWmni - /qa/ poster suspected of being a CCP shill, made threads about the CCP and represented them as gigachads as well as having beef with a guy named Dean.
  • 'ick on 'eck - Creates threads with videos of him putting his BWC on his Steam Deck; usually with the aforementioned phrase as the comment or title. Runs a 'cuck proxy-posting site similar to 4chan.gay except you must be a hairy man AND send him a dick pic to get access. Probably Italian due to his posts on flag boards all having Italian flags (that might just be his proxies THOUGH).
  • Nigger Cow poster - Would post the brown guernsey cow with the text being simply "nigger" and it became a meme.
  • The Moroccan - Unfunny chudbaiter/troonbaiter bbc spammer and /bant/ user who also goes by the name Erika Furudo on the 'ru. Obsessed with some tranime called "Bernkastel" especially "Rika" who he probably wants to fuck with his tbp. Can be found on bantculture.com.
