The Queer Of The Year Elections are events held annually on soyjak.blog to determine which user has been the biggest faggot in that particular year.
Procedure[edit | edit source]
The event is held in a way that's very similar to the Queen of /a/ Election. Starting with a nomination thread[2] to gather participants, and then an sports style contest held within several days[3] to choose finalists to advance each round.[4]
Notable Contestants[edit | edit source]
The first event held many famous namefags from the shlog, such as Soyteen Liker, Soygoy, Vivo and Terrycrews. It also notable for the inclusion of Froot, the owner at the time.
Election Interference[edit | edit source]
On Day 6 of Queer of the Year (Froot vs. encrusting_acro), someone sent in 100 bail-in votes for encrusting_acro. It was later undone and Froot won the round.
Results[edit | edit source]
Most of the election went smoothly. However, it occurred on the same time as a drama in which one of the contestants, X Immigrant was caught sexting and engaging in roleplay with another male user. This caused X immigrant to advance to the next round despite having previously lost to Froot.[5] Which caused a vote to be re-held[6][7][8]

On January 16, 2025, jimbo went up against DonutHole. jimbo ended up winning 34:26, and Steve ended up giving him the QOTY title.
