Soyjak.party, also known as The Party, The Sharty, the 'arty, Snarky Snappy, as well as countless other names, is an anonymous English-language imageboard website primarily dedicated to the creation and posting of soyjak memes.

The imageboard is considered to be a Soyjak-themed spinoff of 4chan. The website's UI is very similar to 4chan's, and runs off of an open-source PHP-language imageboard software called Vichan (a fork of Tinyboard).

Unlike most imageboards, leadership of Soyjak.party has switched hands continuously over just 4 years of operation. There are 4 separate people who have been confirmed to have "owned" the website: Soot, Kuz, Doll, and the current owner "Froot".

There have been even more administrators alongside the owners, but an exact number cannot be calculated due to several administrators being theorized to be alter-egos of other administrators.

Founding

The party was founded by an individual known as Soot, who announced the site's creation on 4chan's /qa/ board on September 20th, 2020, with the post saying "made a shitty imageboard, basedjak[filter].party, basedjaks must be in every thread".[1]

Where it all started


According to Soot, he created the imageboard "as a simple joke", and did not expect it to go far.[2]

Soyjak.party has an extensive and very entertaining history. It is HIGHLY recommended you read up on it before you start posting.

On August 4th, 2024, the site was officially added to Wikipedia's Imageboard page.

Soyjak.party has a thriving and enlightened culture, cultivated by its many fine users over the course of its existence. Key aspects of this unique environment include:

  • Raids: Coordinated events where users flood other forums or platforms with Soyjaks, often for humorous or chaotic purposes. These raids are a form of online trolling, aimed at disrupting discussions and creating gems.
  • Soy Speak: A constructed international auxiliary language spoken mainly on The Party and formerly on /qa/.
  • Soy Dueling: A popular competitive event in which two or more posters continuously quote each other with various Soyjaks.
  • Lorekeeping: An extensive and enduring body of lore for the "Soyjak Cinematic Universe", such as writing adventure threads, or keeping tabs on the Mental Asylum patients.

These practices help define the playful, irreverent tone that makes Soyjak.party stand out in the world of imageboards.
